Thermotech specializes in custom injection molding of precision bobbins for high tech, high volume applications. For 40 years, we have been producing over 1 million bobbins/week. We supply superior quality bobbins for high speed winding of fine gauge wire. Through our expertise in materials, tooling and molding, we are able to consistently produce bobbins that are free of flash and mismatch.

In an effort to reduce lead times and to minimize tooling cost to our customers, we offer the use of our proprietary bobbin tooling. This concept incorporates a robust mold base owned by Thermotech -- the customer need only purchase the inserts for their specific design. At Thermotech, we do not utilize the heterocavity tooling method (multiple products manufactured in one multi-cavity mold) employed by many bobbin molders. Our tooling inserts and production runs are dedicated to the manufacture of your design, allowing for the balanced flow of material needed to yield tight-toleranced components.

Thermotech has the capability to supply bobbins that have been wire terminated. We offer both In-Mold Termination and Post Molding Termination of wire. With In-Mold Termination, the wire is inserted within the normal molding cycle. Wire can be continuously fed into the mold or individual terminals can be robotically loaded. With Post Molding Termination, we offer the option of using Thermotech-owned insertion equipment for reduced tooling costs on lower volume applications or dedicated automatic insertion equipment for optimization of your high volume program.
