Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

Our customer brought this challenging part to Thermotech because of our expertise in both insert molding and automation. The part required very thin shut-offs with no flash on the electronic inserts, making it an especially tough program. The customer had seen our insert molding competency first hand with other successful connector programs and knew that Thermotech was the best candidate for the job. In addition, they knew that our custom automation capability would be required for the safe handling of the sensitive electronic device. The electronics needed to remain free of contamination in order to be wire bonded.

This program runs in a fully automated work cell. The insert loading, singulation and testing of the final product are all performed with automation.
